Portuguese pork sandwich
Typical pork dish in Portugal
Muffuletta (sometimes spelled Muffaletta) is a sandwich that was developed by Italian immigrants in New Orleans. The term 'Muffuletta' can also refer to the traditional bread that is used, the olive tapenade that tops this sandwich or to the sandwich itself. In episode 64 of POV Italian Cooking, I make my spin on this sandwich by preparing a Grilled Muffuletta. I use the imported cold cuts spicy capicola, genoa salami and mortadella topped with mozzarella & provolone then finish the sandwich under the broiler. Watch now at https://youtu.be/wc2b23_V0J...
